Dismantling the Idea of Quid Pro Quo in Networking
Quid pro quo is a Latin phrase used in English to mean an exchange of goods or services, in which one transfer is contingent upon the other; "a favor for a favor". Phrases with similar meanings include: "give and take", "tit for tat", "you scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours".
Look at it this way. Quid Pro Quo is literally this for that. The transfer of the favors happens simultaneously. In networking it almost never works.
Listen in to learn how reciprocity - which happens over the long term actually helps us build mutually beneficial relationships faster.
