6 Ways to Infuse Trail Magic Into Your Network
Trail magic is a term used by hikers along the Appalachian Trail that describes the unforeseen help and support provided by others as you make your hike. Trail magic is given to hikers through transportation, food, and genuine kindness, but it is not done out of expectations for something in return. Though everyone may have a different reason for offering trail magic, the general consensus is that people do it out of kindness, and as their way to "give back.

I was at a small cocktail party at a friend's house recently, where one of the
Speaker:women I was talking to mentioned that she had just gotten back from hiking 35 miles.
Speaker:Along the Appalachian trail.
Speaker:Not something I would probably ever do, but I was intrigued
Speaker:and wanting to learn more.
Speaker:During the course of our conversation.
Speaker:She mentioned that she had been the beneficiary of trail magic
Speaker:three times on that 35 mile hike.
Speaker:Trail magic is a term I'd never heard before.

Speaker:memoirs that can be accomplished in a number of different ways.
Speaker:From somebody helping out with trail maintenance, to leaving a cooler with
Speaker:food and cold drinks along the trail.

Speaker:offered by trail angels though.

Speaker:There are a community of people who have a passion for helping others on the trail.
Speaker:Meaning that these so-called trail.
Speaker:Angels are simply people who volunteer themselves their time and
Speaker:their resources, financial or not.
Speaker:To help their fellow human beings who are hiking along the Appalachian trail.
Speaker:Trail angels immersed themselves in trail culture and with the hikers.
Speaker:Giving to them through transportation, food, and genuine kindness, but
Speaker:it's not done out of expectation for something in return.
Speaker:Though everyone may have a different reason for becoming a trail angel.
Speaker:The general consensus is that people do it out of kindness as a way to give back.
